Welcoming The Muslim Community
What does It mean to be halal certified in Singapore?

In a country with different races and a diverse culture, eateries in Singapore are expected to acknowledge and abide by the rules and regulations in the food and beverage industry. This is important especially for Muslim food, which thus emphasises the need for Halal certification.

With a halal-certified bakery, it gives the assurance that the product or food from the bakery is made and produced in compliance with the dietary requirement of Islam. One thing to note is that being Halal certified doesn’t simply mean that no pork or lard are used as ingredients in the baking process, it also requires all ingredients and utensils used for food preparation to be Halal as well.

Adhering to all the conditions and regulations posed by MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura), Bake Inc had applied for the halal certification and ever since December 22nd 2020, we’re officially Halal certified!

From a general view point, it’s always good news to acknowledge that another establishment has succeeded in obtaining the Halal certification. But from a personal point of view, we are more than delighted to be able to welcome the muslim community in Singapore to share the love for our traditional snacks and pastries.

After all, the more the merrier!
